Allison Transmission, previously a division of General Motors, is
one of the world leader in automatic transmissions. This US company
produces a complete range of automatic electronically controlled
transmissions for all on-highway and off-highway applications. Most of the
current production is governed by WTEC (World Transmission Electronic
Controls) which provides the smoothest shift pattern in the industry.
Since its introduction in 1991, WTEC and the WT series (now called the
3000 and 4000 Series) have undergone
successive improvements ensuring that Allison remains the world leader in
its product. The newly introduced 1000 and 2000 series are dedicated for
relatively smaller vehicles and have already proven to be a benchmark in
performance and reliability.
